Krazy Kelli...What You Don't Know About Kelli James

Who is Miss Kelli James? She is a Public Relations major at Hampton University from Cincinnati, Ohio. Coming from the Ohio area to Hampton has proven to be a major difference. Kelli has lived in both Ohio and Houston Texas and the environment is the polar opposite of what she has become accustomed to.

Back in Cincinnati her community was really close nit. Students take huge pride in where they come from; including representing their school at all sports functions, unlike Hampton Universities’ student life. Coming from such a close community to one that doesn’t support as much has been different.

Compared to other places where Miss James’ has lived, Hampton, to her, is one of the smallest and slowest places. She says, “ that although Cincinnati is not that large you could always find something to do, at Hampton not so much.” She then goes on to compare Texas to a smaller version of Mexico stating that it is extremely culturally diverse and is a large city with something constantly going on.

What are some of Kelli James’ favorites? When she gets the opportunity to travel home, Kelli indulges in home made macaroni and cheese. When she is not feasting on Mac-n-cheese she will go to a little pizzeria shop around the corner from her house where her favorite order is a huge slice of pizza and ceasor salad.

Kelli is in love with the color purple and cardigan style sweaters. Coincidently she had on a purple cardigan today which I found amusing.

So now you know a few fun facts about my Krazy classmate Kelli James.

As the autumn leaves begin to fall people start to pull out their favorite jackets, boots, and fall time sweaters. Along with the changes in wardrobe comes a change of makeup. Simply said there are some looks that you dare to rock in the spring and summer seasons that are a complete no-no in the fall time. It is now time to warm up the bright explosive neon colors for a more simple, cozy colors, like browns nudes or gold and deep reds.

For make-up looks many drift towards a more neutral face. Some opt for bold eye lashes and deep red or plum lips.  While others go completely neutral with golden brown eyes subtle eye leashes and a soft nude or peach lip.

Fashionably this season I notice that many young women are sporting their summer-time shorts along with knee high riding boots or oxfords with knee high stockings. Paired with these high waists shorts are a vintage top, including lace tops, blazers, to overgrown sweaters. Also there are summertime dresses being warn with loose cardigan sweaters and oxford flats. Bold colored high waist trouser pants complimented by printed fitted tops and chunky heels reminiscent of the Jeffrey Campbell style are a absolute MUST this year for a relaxed yet put together look.

Just as clothing, accessories and make-up changes with the seasons so does hairstyles and its colors. It is time to tone down those bright bleach blondes for a more relaxed and natural chestnut and golden tresses.
